Carburetor Bundle Pack for K241, K301, M10, and M12 Engines

Would recommend, worked good right out of the box with very little tuning. Some aspects were better than OEM.

Worked well

Good kit with two minor issues. First, as mentioned by other purchasers the throttle lever must be trimmed to clear the air cleaner housing. Second, as you can see in the photos, the throttle linkage is not bent to a true 90 degree angle on the the end that connects to the governor arm. I had to bend it to a 90 degree angle then file the slot for the "C" clip open again. I did this because the linkage was binding and preventing the throttle returing to idle properly. Other than these two issues it is a very good kit.

Choke linkage looks like exact match to my old carb. Pro 10 kohler M10 has a K301 walbro on it. Throttle linkage is not exact match . Maybe kohler carb M10 is different. Gravely facebook member said it would exchange he was wrong. Not sure what I will do. Should have pulled old carb first. Too cold in barn to work got hurried I guess.

I bought the kit to replace the WALBRO carburetor on my Gravely Professional 12. The only problems I had related to the throttle lever. The WALBRO carburetor had a shorter lever with a larger hole for the linkage. The longer throttle lever hit the back of the air cleaner, so I had to bend (or could have cut) the end of the lever so that it would fit. The portion that I had to bend included the throttle linkage hole (which was too small for the original throttle-to-governor linkage), so I had to use the "ball" end linkage rod that was included in the kit, This rod doesn't seem to line up properly with the governor arm, so it binds to a minor degree. The "ball" on the throttle lever is also located closer to the throttle shaft than the linkage hole was on the WALBRO carburetor. This changes the throttle response to movement of the governor rod. The engine seemed to run well with no load after the new carburetor was installed. It appears that I will have to adjust the length of the new throttle-to- governor linkage rod and bend it slightly to allow the governor to better control the throttle response when the engine is operating under a strong load.

Great kit! It has everything you will need to replace your old Kohler carburetor. The swing arm for the throttle hit my air filter holder so I compared it to my old carb and was able to cut off UN-needed metal with a pair of pliers. As soon as my carb filled completely with fuel, it ran great. Direction that came with carb were very useful.

We were so worried that we would not find a carburator to fit my dad's old cub cadet but this one was perfect. Thank-you so much.

Easy to install and required no adjustments. Tractor runs like new.

installed new carb after switching out other choke from kit and it runs great. may buy another for the other 812.
