Ignition switch not the same diameter as original. Had to drill out hole to make it larger and new switch to big!

Worked very well. I did have to file the hole in the dash to fit it, and the flat was in the wrong orientation for mu JD 216, but the harness plugged right in and it works excellently!

Key switch

Part was good quality and works. It looks like the part that I had, However I have a cub cadet 682 and it requires a position for headlights on this switch only has start and run which means that the head lights stay on all the time now. It was my issue and needed replacement tho as Norman correctly diagnosed I just ordered the wrong part and I did not order the right part.
