    Ignition coil

Posted by Norm P on Jun 27th 2018

Coil arrived within 2 days of ordering as pictured and works fine. Thanks Norm for the parts! My 1968 Wheel Horse Raider is now running like the beast it is again. This year makes my Raider 12 50 YEARS old and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It is true: they DON'T build them this well anymore.

    Old girl running great again

I bought a coil after purchasing points, condenser and coil wire recently. I was hoping the coil wasn't bad but it was. Was a perfect fit. I put it on a 1966 Cub 123 I recently got that was my Dad's from new. I'm happy to have her up and running again. I have been very pleased with the parts and service and will use isavetractors again. Thanks for everything.

    Read the instructions

Posted by Jerry Graf on Oct 23rd 2017

I purchased an ignition bundle kit for my Kohler 301 engine, it arrived in a few days and was easy to install, this engine is 33 years old and everything was original. Ran great for about 4 months then died, found no spark at the plug, everything was good up to the coil. Contacted I Save Tractors, told them what reading I had found and asked for help, Norm responded with a phone call the next business day, I missed it unfortunately, so we started e-mail correspondence. Norm told me several things to check and that since I mentioned the condenser was attached to the Positive post of the coil said that could have lead to it's early demise. I found the instructions that came with the kit and sure enough the condenser wire is attached to the Negative post of the coil. Since I made the error, I thanked Norm for his help and the great customer service he provides, I then placed my order for a new coil. It arrived and the old engine is purring right along, I might add that Norm included a very nice double sided, full color, printed diagram of the ignition system on a Kohler K301, that is now part of the manual file I have on my old Gravely tractor. Thank you Norm.

    Problem Solved

Posted by Michale on Apr 4th 2016

When my Kohler K-241 engine quit, a little troubleshooting showed that there was no spark at the cylinder. I first tried new points and condenser. Still no spark. I then tried a new coil and a new plug. That restored the spark and the engine fired right up. All the parts that I bought from I Save Tractors fit perfectly and solved my problem.
