Description

iSaveTractors brand carburetor to replace carburetors in Kohler K90, K91, K141, K160, K161, K181, and M8 Magnum Engines!

  • It is a replica of the Carter #16 Carburetor and has a .810” Throttle Bore. 

Our carburetor is fully adjustable, re-buildable, and feature brass floats.

This carburetor comes with 2 choke levers. The choke installed is for the K Series engines, and the inlcuded one is for the Kohler Magnum M8 engine. Installation instructions included.

* Customers have also sucessfully installed this carburetor onto Tecumseh HH100, HH120, and HH140 Engines replacing their original Walbro LME carburetors. The bolt holes line up and just the throttle and choke linkages need to be slightly modified.

    Carburetor K181

    Ran like a champ out of the box. I didn’t try adjusting it for fear of making it run worse. I had to widen the catchment hole for the governor cable/wire, and the port side slotted bolt cannot be tightened with a screw driver, but other than that it installed easily. Very happy. Please do not publish reviewer info.

    carburetor

    installed and works fine but does not fix the problem with the engine shutting off after about one hour of use. It just shuts down and is running very hot. After cooling off it will start and run again.

    works perfectly... mixture screw works as it should...quality seems good... I bought the same carb from Amazon and it was complete junk...motor barely ran and it leaked like a sieve from float bowl...this one was very good thanks!

    CARBURETOR #16 FOR KOHLER K161

    Replacement for 83 Troy-Bilt Horse PTO. Had to drill and tap the 2 lower holes for the Air Filter backing plate, seems a miss by the manufacturer as smaller holes were in the righ place. Tiller ran well after a few adjustments per the enclosed instructions. Buy with confidence and support the Maine economy.

    Runs at its best in years

    Just a note to tell you that the Carb I purchased from you or my old 30 + year old Troy Bilt has made it run the best it has ran in years. Usually starts on first pull. I'm sorry I did not leave you any feedback as I had some other issues with the fuel pump also. Thanks again carrying parts for these old Kohlers like myself

    Runs perfectly out of the box

    This is a great product but it did need some minor tweaks to work on the 8hp Koehler M8T engine. The choke plate swap was easy and done in 2 minutes. The throttle cable on my machine has a plastic retainer that needed a larger hole on the linkage which was another minute to drill. The two lower holes on the air cleaner plate are not tapped for my air cleaner. I ordered an 8/32 tap and will take care of that. Overall, the M8T runs like new and I’m happy with the carb. Thanks!
