    Point rod

Posted by Chuck on Mar 23rd 2025

I read a few articles on how these plungers can wear out over time. I decided to purchase one and see if it improves my engines performance. Yes it has made a Motoblur difference and I am extremely happen with this product. Keep up the good work Norman

    Yep, they wear down

A small amount of wear can have quite an effect on you points gap setting. This little rod put my K301 right back in spec.

Points Plunger Push Rod for Kohler K Series Engines

The original is about 1-1/4 inches long. The replacement is about 1-9/16. That makes it 5/16 too long.

    Push rod for points

Posted by James Brake on Jan 14th 2023

I have a K series 16 HP engine and we were not having any luck figuring out why it wouldn’t start. Realized the points weren’t opening and closing, I saw this was available on ISaveTractors, ordered it, rod fit perfect and engine started up first try and runs great. The old push rod had worn and was a little shorter then the new one. Thanks
