This is for 7HP and 8HP Kohler K Series Cast Iron Engines.

Includes Piston, Rings, Wrist Pin, Wrist Pin Retainer Clips 

Replaces 
  • Kohler 4187405

*Note: Be sure your engine is a true K161 or K181. A STD bore size for a K161 or K181 is 2.938". If your bore is smaller than this but still tagged K161, you may have a K141 engine. Please call our office for our recommendation.

About Size:

The size of the piston refers to the piston skirt diameter. If you are looking for an oversize, make sure you measure your engine's bore to determine the appropriate oversize piston.

    Perfect

    Recently my k181’s connecting rod nuts fell off while it was running. Didn’t cause any damage so I decided to rebuild the engine while I had it tore apart since it was already smoking before this happened. These parts were an exact fit. No modifications needed. And runs spectacularly. Super fast shipping. Ordered the parts on Saturday and they came on Wednesday. This is the second time I’ve gotten parts from here and I couldn’t recommend more

    Piston for Kohler K181S

    This piston was a perfect replacement for the over temp damage to my existing piston. Ring end gaps were correct. Product arrived in just a few days allowing me to get my motor/tractor re-assembled before I needed to mow.
